Little Caesars AAA Hockey Club is one of the most recognized and respected organizations in amateur hockey throughout North America. Mike and Marian Ilitch, founders of the Little Caesars Pizza chain, have sponsored amateur hockey teams since 1968 and are a major reason for the club's success. Chris Ilitch is the CEO of Ilitch Companies, a professional services company that supports certain businesses that were established or purchased by Detroit entrepreneurs Mike and Marian Ilitch.

The major goal is to develop well-rounded individuals who are prepared for future careers on or off the ice. A mixture of instruction, discipline and positive feedback from outstanding coaches' aids in development that makes for a positive experience.

The Little Caesars AAA Hockey Club aligns itself very closely with the Detroit Red Wings, also owned by the Ilitch family. Many current and former players from the NHL club will occasionally drop by the youths’ practice or training sessions to assist in providing motivation and instruction.

Over 100 players of the Little Caesars AAA Hockey Club have made it to the professional ranks, while nearly a thousand others have established careers in collegiate hockey, junior hockey, minor-pro, or European hockey leagues.

The Ilitch Family is very committed to amateur sports, and the Little Caesars AAA Hockey Club will continue to be a model of success among other youth hockey teams. Impressive youth hockey is just one more reason why Detroit is called Hockeytown!
